Dún Laoghaire Walking Tours, The Dublin Riviera shore excursion

Dún Laoghaire harbour and the waterfront were busy with elegantly dressed people wining and dining at the local yacht clubs and strolling along the East Pier.
The Pavilion & Gardens Kingstown Ltd. was officially opened on 22 June 1903. From the time of its construction, the Pavilion Theatre was advertised as providing “first class entertainments” in Kingstown.
The Royal Marine Hotel opened in 1865. It became a stopping-off point on the journey to and from London, and also helped to establish Kingstown as a major holiday centre. The luxurious hotel attracted many aristocratic and royal guests.

The Dublin Riviera is a guided coastal walk back to a golden era where local residents and visitors wined and dined in the yacht clubs, restaurants and hotels along the waterfront, and danced in the Pavilion, the ballrooms and the nightclubs.
